The couple’s new show, ‘Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky,’ brings them home to Brittany’s family farm.
Another Vanderpump Rules wedding could be in the works!
Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright head to her hometown of Winchester, Kentucky, on their new show, Vanderpump Rules: Jax and Brittany Take Kentucky. That means lots of time with her family -- and lots of questions from the family about Jax and Brittany's future together. The couple shared some insight into their relationship when they dropped by ET’s studios on Wednesday for a Facebook Live chat.
The couple says it’s possible the season ends with an engagement -- the premiere episode hints at a proposal -- but fans will have to wait and see if it happens. While Brittany didn’t have a ring on that finger during our interview, both stars played coy when asked about the possibility, blushing when the topic came up.
“We’ve been together for two years,” Brittany notes. “He’s not getting any younger, let’s be real!”
Jax admits he’s nervous about a proposal because, as soon as they get engaged, new questions will come rolling in like, when will they have kids?
“We’re just dating right now,” Jax says. “It’s been a couple years … right now, we’re good. You know, we’re having fun and we’ll just see where it goes from there.”
“I love hanging out with her,” he adds. “She’s my best friend. We just have a great time together … I finally found someone great that I want to be with, and it’s worth being a good person for.”
It’s worth noting that Brittany wants to be engaged by the time she’s 30, so that only gives Jax a little over a year to make it happen. For now, they’re just excited about their new show, which actually came about from them goofing off on Brittany’s family farm when no reality TV cameras were around.
“As a joke, we sent [a video] to our producers,” Jax recalls. “They really liked it and pitched us this idea.”
The show is a big change for Brittany’s family, but she’s excited for the world to meet them -- even though her mom got some online hate after appearing on Vanderpump Rules last season.
“I know that you can never make everyone happy about certain things,” she says. “But, I just think that they’re so great and they’re so funny, and I’ve seen the first couple episodes already and I just laughed the entire time. So, I’m not worried about how my family’s going to look. They’re amazing.”
