The singer picked up two awards at Sunday’s show.
Ed Sheeran had an early-morning after party! The 26-year-old British singer-songwriter skipped the 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards on Sunday, but still managed to pick up two big awards.
He won Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Shape of You,” but was noticeably absent from Madison Square Garden. He was, in fact, rumored to not be attending the show after getting snubbed in two major categories – Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
But that didn’t stop him from celebrating on social media on Monday.
“Woke up to the news I won two grammys last night,” Sheeran captioned a photo of his cat on the floor. “Thank you! This little fluff-ball is doing a bit of celebratory dance, lots of love to everyone xx.”
Sheeran is now the winner of four total GRAMMY Awards and nine additional nominations.
The chart-topper is likely in England, spending time with his new fiancée, Cherry Seaborn. Seaborn was recently spotted in London, rocking her giant diamond engagement ring, after Sheeran announced their engagement on Instagram.
