Lipa was nominated for two GRAMMYs at the 66th ceremony, Best Song Written for Visual Media and Song of the Year.
Dua Lipa graced the stage at the 66th GRAMMY Awards ceremony on Sunday, captivating audiences with a sensational performance of her hit song, "Dance The Night," from the Barbie movie soundtrack.
The 26-year-old British-Albanian artist kicked the night away with her new single "Training Season." It's the second song from her forthcoming LP. She then delivered a show-stopping rendition of the track that has garnered widespread acclaim for its contribution to the Barbie movie, "Dance the Night Away," before belting out the catchy tune, "Houdini."
Lipa, a powerhouse in the music industry, has not only taken the charts by storm but has also become a prominent figure in the world of film soundtracks. At this year's GRAMMY Awards, Lipa is up for two prestigious honors, Best Song Written for Visual Media for "Dance the Night" and, along with fellow performers Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo, the coveted Song of the Year award.
This isn't Lipa's first brush with GRAMMY glory. With a total of 10 GRAMMY nominations under her belt, she secured her place in the music industry by winning Best New Artist and Best Dance Recording for "Electricity," a collaboration with British-American duo Silk City, at the 61st Annual GRAMMY Awards. Her second studio album, Future Nostalgia, released in 2020, has been a critical and commercial success.
Future Nostalgia won Best Pop Vocal Album at the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards, and the album itself earned a nomination for Album of the Year. The lead single, "Don't Start Now," also received multiple nominations, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance at the same ceremony.
The 2024 GRAMMY Awards is on Sunday, Feb. 4, at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET and being broadcast and streamed live on CBS and Paramount+ from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Follow along at ETonline.com for full coverage from music's biggest night, including performances, GRAMMY winners and more.
