Let's just say, she did not get '50 First Dates'...
Oh, man.... Even Drew Barrymore can't find love with online dating?
The Santa Clarita Diet actress and producer appears on Friday's Ellen DeGeneres Show, where she hilariously recalls her brief experience with Raya (a dating app for famous people, basically), which.... let's just say did not get her 50 First Dates.
"My dear friend ... she was on this dating app called Raya. And then I heard Amy Schumer say she met her boyfriend on there. And then one night, I'm flying home by myself, and I'm like, 'Screw it,'" the 42-year-old filmmaker explains. "So I went on it and... no one responded. One guy wrote, 'What is someone like you doing on an app like this?'"
And when she did finally get something in the works... she may have come off a little overeager.
"I'm such a Josie Grossie from Never Been Kissed, and I'm like, 'OK! I can't do tonight, but I'm available every other night this week!' It's, like, as lame as it gets!" she exclaims. "And he writes me back, 'Uh... I'm gone for the holidays.' And that was it, he was gone. So I got off. I got off the site, I mean..."
However, even leaving Raya didn't go according to plan, when, as Drew explains, Will Kopelman, her amicable ex, discovered her profile after she thought she had canceled it.
"I'm with my children's father, wonderful Will, in the kitchen, and he's like, 'Why are you on Raya?'" she says. "And I was like, 'How do you know?! I was on it for four days, five days. How do you know I'm on Raya?'"
"He goes, 'Because I just saw your profile, it came up on my phone," she adds. "I'm still on it! I'm still trying to get off of it!"
Hey Drew... we've all been there!
