Drake's Home Is Flooded in Wild Video Amid Torrential Rain: 'Better Be Espresso Martini'

Drake shared a video from inside what appears to be his Toronto mansion while his feet are submerged in murky water.

Drake seems to be taking a flooded home in stride. The rapper shared a look at the damage inside what appears to be his Toronto mansion as the city was hit with torrential rains on Tuesday.

On his Instagram Story, Drake posted a video from inside a luxurious closet-type room as his feet were submerged in murky brown water that rose up around his ankles. In the clip, he's joined by an unnamed individual dressed in all black who attempts to brace a glass door. Drake appears to be holding his camera in one hand and a broom in the other as he walks towards the room's exit.

"This better be Espresso Martini," he joked in a caption written over the video.

According to CNN, Toronto experienced a devastating rainstorm on Tuesday that submerged city streets, shut down transportation and left tens of thousands of people without power. The Pearson International Airport reported that 97 millimeters (or 3.82 inches) of rain were recorded.

Drake previously shared an inside look at his hometown mansion in a 2020 spread for Architectural Digest. The manor, nicknamed "The Embassy," features opulent "modern Art Deco" design and was described by the 37-year-old rapper as "overwhelmingly high luxury."

“Because I was building it in my hometown, I wanted the structure to stand firm for 100 years. I wanted it to have a monumental scale and feel," Drake told the outlet. "It will be one of the things I leave behind, so it had to be timeless and strong."

More recently, Drake's property in The Six was the site of a shooting that left his security guard seriously injured in May. The incident came amid Drake's rap beef with Kendrick Lamar, though authorities did not indicate whether the two circumstances may have been related at the time.

Days later, Champagne Papi took to his Instagram Story to plead with a local news outlet about choppers allegedly flying over his home at inconvenient hours. "@cp24breaking news can we discuss the chopper flight times over the house cause I won't lie I'm trying to sleep anytime after 3 pm works great for me," he quipped.
