Diddy's attorney also criticized the feds for the 'gross overuse of military-level force.'
Sean "Diddy" Combs' ex is speaking out after her son was handcuffed while the music mogul's homes in Los Angeles and Miami were being raided by federal law enforcement.
Misa Hylton took to Instagram on Tuesday and blasted Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), the federal agency that helmed the raid, saying the agency's show of strong force was an "attempt to humiliate and terrorize" her son, Justin Combs, 30. In her post, she also mentioned Christian "King" Combs, 26, whom Diddy shared with the late Kim Porter.
"The over zealous and overtly militarized force used against my sons Justin and Christian is deplorable," Hylton shared in her caption to a post that included security footage purporting to show HSI arriving at Diddy's L.A. home to execute the raid. "If these were the sons of a non-Black celebrity, they would not have been handled with the same aggression. The attempt to humiliate and terrorize these innocent young BLACK MEN is despicable!"
Hylton questioned whether Justin needed "several laser beams from firearms pointed at his chest" and if Christian needed "a gun pointed at the back of his head while he was handcuffed."
"How many times have we seen young UNARMED BLACK MEN not make it out of these types of situations alive??" she continued. "My son's Attorney Jeffrey Lichtman is investigating the excessive use of force which was unnecessary and certainly not required by this search warrant."
Diddy's homes were raided on March 25, with reports saying the raids were tied to sex trafficking allegations. It's unclear if the raids are tied to the numerous allegations of sexual misconduct against Diddy. Hylton is speaking out more than a week after helicopter footage showed Justin and Christian handcuffed while law enforcement raided the homes.
In a statement to ET, Diddy's attorney, Aaron Dyer, echoed similar sentiments made by Hylton.
"[T]here was a gross overuse of military-level force as search warrants were executed at Mr. Combs' residences. There is no excuse for the excessive show of force and hostility exhibited by authorities or the way his children and employees were treated," Dyer said in his statement. "Mr. Combs was never detained but spoke to and cooperated with authorities."
"Despite media speculation, neither Mr. Combs nor any of his family members have been arrested nor has their ability to travel been restricted in any way," Dyer's statement continued. "This unprecedented ambush -- paired with an advanced, coordinated media presence -- leads to a premature rush to judgment of Mr. Combs and is nothing more than a witch hunt based on meritless accusations made in civil lawsuits. There has been no finding of criminal or civil liability with any of these allegations. Mr. Combs is innocent and will continue to fight every single day to clear his name."
Christian appears to be taking the ordeal in stride. On Monday, he took to Instagram and offered a glimpse at how he celebrated his 26th birthday.
And on Sunday, Diddy also took to Instagram and posted a photo carousel featuring his youngest daughter, Love Sean Combs, in celebration of Easter Sunday.
