ET spoke with the rapper on the red carpet about the special moment and who he is rooting for at Sunday's show.
Diddy turned the Oscars into a family affair. ET's Kevin Frazier and Nischelle Turner spoke with the 52-year-old rapper, who is presenting Sunday night, about bringing his daughter, Chance, 16, to the 2022 Oscars for a daddy-daughter date night.
"First of all, the biggest thing that’s going on tonight, me bringing my daughter to this, because she’s an inspiring actress and we get to have a date, and I’m just so excited and I’m just so stunned," the proud dad shared. "I’m at a loss of words, so, I’m blessed to be here. I’m presenting tonight, and we're having a good time."
"I’m dealing with daddy emotions," the father of of five added.
As far as what Diddy said he was most looking forward to at Sunday's show: Beyoncé's performance and hopefully a win for the "Be Alive" singer.
"I want Beyoncé to win," Diddy maintained.
He's also hoping to see a win for the entire King Richard cast, calling the biopic "really inspiring."
"I saw the King Richard movie, and I really loved that 'cause I also played tennis myself, and it was really inspiring," Diddy revealed before sharing his hopes for his longtime friend, Will Smith, to take home his first Oscar for his work in the film.
"Will and Beyoncé, I’m rooting for everybody, really, but I would love to see my friends win. The place is gonna go crazy as it should," he said of what he predicts will happen if Smith takes home a statuette. "He's given so much to the art and the craft and the people, and even to his kids, he deserves it all. I’ve seen the movie and I know that he was definitely best actor of the year. I'ma tell you right, it's gonna be a problem if they don’t give Will, the best actor of the year, I'ma tell you."
Diddy posted some BTS moments from the pair's adorable date night on his Instagram Story, including videos in which he gushed over his date, as well as a sweet snap of the pair holding hands during the limo ride on the way to the big show.
