The YouTube star took to Instagram to share that she and her husband are expecting their second child together.
Desi Perkins is expanding her family! The YouTube star took to Instagram Tuesday to share that she and her husband, Steven, are expecting their second child together.
In the sweet clip, Desi is seen tending to her garden while their son, Ocean, 1, plays and helps Mom with some of the gardening. Soon after, Desi's husband enters the frame with more flowers for the pair to plant. It's then, when Desi turns to greet him, that her baby bump is on full display.
"Here we grow again 🌱 🤰🏽," Desi captioned the sweet video, which featured the melodic track, "Nothings Gunna Hurt You Baby (C. A. S. Cover)," by Bianca O.
The clip continues, with the beauty blogger sharing more adorable family moments with her husband and baby boy, both of whom kiss and touch Mom's growing belly.
Desi's pregnancy announcement was met with plenty of congratulatory comments from fans and celebs alike, including Shay Mitchell, who is also expecting her second child.
"CONGRATS MAMAAA!!! ❤️," Mitchell wrote.
Love Island's Molly Mae Hague also commented, writing, "Oh my goodness congratulations Desi!!!!🤍🤍🤍😭😭😭," with fellow vlogger, Nicol Concilio, sharing her excitement as well.
"DESIIII 😍😍😍😍😍 OMG IM SO THRILLED FOR YOU GUYS!!!!! Ocean is gonna be an amazing big bro," Concilio added.
Desi and Steven welcomed Ocean in October 2020 and have been very open about their journey when it comes to having a child.
Desi suffered a miscarriage in 2013, and announced she was pregnant in May 2020 after undergoing in vitro fertilization. The couple gave an inside look at their fertility struggles and attempt to get pregnant on her YouTube channel, The Perkins. When ET spoke with Desi shortly after she announced the exciting news, she talked about the response she received.
"The minute I did, so many women came forward and talked to me about their stories, which was so comforting and I realized I'm not alone," Desi said at the time. "And a lot of us feel alone during these situations -- it was such a beautiful thing. I've never felt so light after sharing it all."
She also told ET that it was her dream to be a mother.
"I have three brothers and I helped my mom with them," she explained. "And seeing how they've grown up and the things they took after me, even things I taught them, it's so special to really help mold somebody and just [have this] unconditional love that I have for them. I can't imagine what it's going to be like when I have my own child and get to do that with them."
