The singer shared a lengthy post via Instagram on Wednesday dedicated to the pals who never abandoned her during rough times.
Demi Lovato will never forget the people who stuck with her through her "darkest" moments.
In a lengthy post shared via Instagram on Tuesday, the singer posted a snap of her and her best friends, hip-hop artist Sirah and actor Matthew Scott Montgomery, living their "best lives." In the caption, she thanked them for their never ending support.
"Thank you for never leaving me in my darkest moments, for always drying my tears.. even when they’re from watching Moana," she gushed. "Thank you for being loyal, honest and so grateful for every little thing.. like crying because we swam with fish/sharks/stingray and coral reef. I’m so lucky to be best friends with two incredible souls who are so talented and creative because it inspires me daily. And you’re so supportive of me and every little thing I do."
"You’ve traveled across the country to visit me and stayed with me at my house for days on end when I’m struggling to make sure I’m okay, but most importantly you never abandoned me like others did when I was going through s**t," she continued. "You were there to listen, without judgement and only love, and I can never fully express what that means to me. You’re the greatest friends I’ve EVER had and our future together is so bright. I love you both more than you can imagine!! Thank you for this past week."
Lovato has gradually been returning to the spotlight over the past few months, following rehabilitation treatment after she was hospitalized for an apparent overdose last July.
In an effort to start fresh, Lovato has cut ties with a lot of people, including her management team. She announced over the weekend that she had signed with Scooter Braun, who also reps Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande.
"GUYS!!!!!!! Dreams came true today for me. I officially have a NEW MANAGER!!! And not just any new manager but the one and only @scooterbraun!!!!" she exclaimed. "Couldn’t be happier, inspired and excited to begin this next chapter with you Scooter!!! Thank you for believing in me and for being a part of this new journey. Let’s DO THIS!!!!!!"
A source told ET in March that Lovato is still sober and is committed to her sobriety, adding that her eagerness to return to the stage is motivating her to stay healthy.
