In the latest episode of his podcast, 'Armchair Expert,' the 'CHiPs' star recalls the moment he thought about asking the actress out.
Before he met Kristen Bell, Dax Shepard was eyeing another blond beauty!
The CHiPs star recently invited Anna Faris to be a guest on the latest episode of his podcast, Armchair Expert. During their chat, Shepard revealed he had a major crush on the Mom star back in 2005.
"I saw Just Friends and was like, 'You are so talented,' and you and I sat next to each other during a premiere," the 43-year-old actor, who's been married to Bell since 2013, recalled. "[I thought] 'I would definitely like to take this person on a date.'"
But his dreams were crushed when he found out Faris was married to Ben Indra at the time. The two eventually called it quits in 2008.
"Then, from my point of view, that door was shut," Shepard explained. "It was like a dead-bolt door."
Faris chimed in, hilariously telling Shepard, "I think my first husband may have been sitting to the right of me," to which Shepard replied, "That would explain a lot."
"Can I be obnoxious?" Faris continued. "You have always been a very handsome man. You are just one of those guys that gets more handsome as they age, and it's not just the Red Bull talking."
In the same podcast, Faris also opened up about her marriage to Chris Pratt. They were married for eight years before calling it quits last August, and share one child together, a 5-year-old son, Jack.
"We had an unbelievable marriage and we have a great friendship now," Faris said of her now amicable relationship with the Guardians of the Galaxy star. "And we love our son to death, and I'm really proud of that, because I'm not sure I did that well the first time."
Faris, who was also married to Ben Indra from 2004 to 2008, also got candid with Shepard about whether she could see herself walking down the aisle a third time. Hear her answer in the video below!
