The former 'Glee' co-stars hilariously addressed the theory on Friday.
Darren Criss is setting the record straight on that fan conspiracy that Lea Michele is illiterate.
The hilarious theory blew up earlier this week after fans filmed a Facebook Live video detailing "evidence" claiming that Michele can't read or write. On Friday, Criss took over Michele's Instagram Story to assure fans that the rumors couldn't be more false.
"So there’s a lot of speculations that Lea Michele cannot read or write,” Criss addressed fans in the video, panning over to Michele in the background. "But that’s not true!"
"She can’t read, write or speak! She can’t even swim or walk!" he joked, as Michele burst into uncontrollable laughter. "She can’t do anything!”
Michele took to Twitter on Thursday to chime on the hysterical conspiracy, which claimed that she only had to lean "like, four words" for her role in Ragtime, and that Ryan Murphy helped her memorize all her lines in Glee and Scream Queens.
"Loved READING this tweet and wanted to WRITE you back? literally laughing out loud at all this? love you!!! ?❤️," she wrote.
