Colin Jost and Scarlett Johansson wed in October 2020, and share one son of their own, 2-year-old Cosmo.
Colin Jost is giving rare insight into his relationship with Scarlett Johansson's daughter, Rose.
In a new interview with The New York Times, the Saturday Night Live head writer and "Weekend Update" host, 42, addressed his family life with the Fly Me to the Moon actress, 39, including how he feels about being a step-dad.
Jost and Johansson -- who began dating in 2017 and tied the knot in October 2020 -- share one child, son Cosmo, 2, and co-parent Rose, 9, who the actress shares with her ex, Romain Dauriac.
"I think part of the reason I fell in love with her is she’s a great mom," Jost told the outlet. "I've known Rose, my stepdaughter, since she was 2. It’s weird. You get to actually preview someone as a mom."
Johansson dated Dauriac, 43, starting in 2013 and tied the knot with the French journalist in 2014. The former couple welcomed their only child together in August 2014, before announcing their divorce in January 2017.
The Black Widow actress was also previously married to Ryan Reynolds, wedding the Deadpool actor in 2008 and splitting in 2011.
For his own part, Jost has never been married prior to tying the knot with his actress wife, but did reportedly date Parks and Recreation actress Rashida Jones for a few years in the 2010s.
Of course, Reynolds, 47, would go on to marry Blake Lively and the pair now share four children. Jones, 48, found love with Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig and they have one young son together. All's well that ends well!
As for their own crew, ET caught up with the Avengers actress in October and she spilled all the details on how she and her hubby of two years were handling Cosmo's "terrible twos."
Johansson joked, "I think the 'Terrible Twos' are more like tackling me! Like, actually physically tackling me."
