The singer gushed about how hardworking her man is and said she watches him in "pure amazement" every Sunday.
Ciara couldn’t be prouder of husband, Russell Wilson, after he resigned with his team the Seattle Seahawks, reportedly becoming the NFL's highest paid player.
The 30-year-old athlete agreed to a $140 million, four-year extension with the team, according to New York Times.
Following the news, Ciara took to Instagram to share a pic of Wilson in action on the field, along with a sweet caption.
“I watch you put everything on the line every Sunday in pure amazement,” the 33-year-old singer wrote. “Your dedication, consistency, and commitment to the game never wavers. You’re always the first person in, and the last person out.”
“You’re 1 of 1,” she continued. “The hardest working man I know! So proud of you baby! Giving God All the praise. #GoHawks.”
Wilson also took to social media after resigning with the team, sharing an intimate video of the couple, who will celebrate two years of marriage in July.
“Hey Seattle. We got a deal,” he said while lying in bed with the songstress. “Go Hawks. I’m gonna see you all in the morning. Time for you all to go to bed. See you all in the morning.”
“Finally can go to sleep!” piped in Ciara.
The new deal reportedly gives Wilson an average salary of $35 million per year (topping Green Bay Packers player, Aaron Rodgers) and includes a $65 million signing bonus, $107 million in guaranteed money and a no-trade clause.
When asked about the possible deal during an interview with ET last month, Ciara said she'd be proud of Wilson "no matter what."
"He is incredible. He inspires me in so many ways," she said of her husband. "To see how hard he works everyday, he's always big on being consistent with time. He wakes up early, like, literally 5 a.m. almost everyday, especially when he's in season, and to see him so dedicated -- he'll be the first one in and the last one out -- and that's always who he's been since day one."
"I know he's my husband and of course you're gonna think the world of your partner, but I really do believe he's one of the best ever to do it, and it's really cool to watch him on his journey," Ciara continued. "I'm now seeing his sixth season since we've been together and going into the seventh one actually. So, I'm really proud of him and excited for him no matter what. I'm always gonna be there rooting and be his cheerleader, so I'm excited for what's ahead for him."
