We have long been obsessed with the marriage between GRAMMY-winning pop star Ciara and champion quarterback Russell Wilson. The power couple has tackled both stage and field with ease, gaining multiple accolades and awards. There's nothing they can't do and that includes writing children's books, apparently.
The pair's debut picture book titled, Why Not You?, co-written by Ciara and Russell Wilson, is already #1 in Amazon's Children's Self-Esteem books. It's no surprise, since the book has been received with high praise. Asking its readers to dream big, Amazon calls the book, "a lyrical celebration of self-esteem, perseverance, and daring to shoot for the stars," encouraging children to pursue their goals, no matter how outrageous or out of reach they might seem.
The book was written as an extension of the pair's Why Not You Foundation, which aims to fight poverty through education since its creation in 2014. Their mission is to "equip today's youth with the skills and opportunities to become tomorrow's leaders," according to the foundation's website. The foundation seeks to help students gain access to equal education opportunities, children’s health and food security.
