Channing Tatum opened up about fiancée Zoë Kravitz in an interview on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.'
Channing Tatum is smitten with Zoë Kravitz. The 44-year-old Magic Mike alum couldn't help but gush over his fiancée in a Thursday night interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
"I'm so happy, I don't even know how to really put it into words," Tatum told Jimmy Fallon after accepting well-wishes from the host. "She's so special."
He added, "To get to wake up every day and create with somebody, it's really, really good."
When Fallon remarked on how cool 35-year-old Kravitz is, Tatum chimed in, "She's actually really annoyingly cool. It's a problem."
The couple met while working together on Kravitz's upcoming film, Blink Twice, which she wrote and directed. Tatum stars in the project opposite Naomi Ackie and Alia Shawkat, and served as a producer.
The film was previously titled Pussy Island before being retitled earlier this year.
"She brought me a script and it was definitely something no one has ever thought of me for, and I really was like, 'Wow, why do you want me for this?'" Tatum recalled on The Tonight Show. "It was a long journey. She's been writing it for like five, six years now."
But the future spouses didn't initially connect romantically after their first meeting.
"I think I had one meeting with her and then she went away for, like, a year and a half to like work on the thing," Tatum said. "Then my producer came to me and was like, 'Look, this thing is getting really good. We might actually make this.' And then I read it and it was. It was really, really good."
He confessed, "And it's crazy, I'm just gonna tell you. It's a wild, wild movie."
Tatum is currently promoting his role in Fly Me to the Moon, a NASA-based romantic comedy co-starring Scarlett Johansson.
Tatum walked the carpet at the premiere of his new film in New York City on Monday, where he spoke with ET about the underappreciated comedic talents of both Johansson and Kravitz.
"They actually worked together," Tatum said, referring to their 2017 comedy Rough Night. "That movie was actually really underratedly funny. Like, I don't think I saw it when it came out and then I went back and saw it later, and the movie's really funny!"
"Scarlett's very, very funny. Weirdly, they're both very funny, but don't get the credit for being funny," Tatum added. "Zoë and Scarlett, because they're so beautiful, people just go, 'We're gonna hire you for that.' Or, 'We're gonna look at you as that and you're not allowed to be anything else.'"
"But they're very, very, very funny," he added. "Zoë's one of the funniest people I know, so it's great."
Kravitz and Tatum first sparked dating rumors in August 2021. ET learned in late October 2023 that the 21 Jump Street star and the Batman actress had gotten engaged.
Kravitz's romance with Tatum is her first since her public split from ex-husband Karl Glusman. The two ended their relationship after 18 months of marriage in 2021.
Tatum was previously married to his Step Up co-star, Jenna Dewan, from 2009 to 2019, and they share daughter Everly, 11.
