The 'Bartier Cardi' rapper told ET that her baby's getting a little feisty.
Cardi B might be having a baby girl -- and she's already pretty feisty!
The "Bartier Cardi" rapper hinted at the sex of her baby while chatting with ET's Keltie Knight at the 2018 Met Gala in New York City on Monday.
"Oh, she wants to fight me!" Cardi said when asked about her baby kicking -- using "she" instead of "he" -- on the red carpet. "[My dress weighs] about 35 pounds plus baby. It's OK though, I used to go up the project stairs."
The 25-year-old rapper, who confirmed she was expecting her first child with Offset during her April appearance on Saturday Night Live, also referred to her baby as a girl in a pre-Met Gala interview with The New York Times.
"Shorty weighs three and a half pounds. She do!” Cardi shared. "She do weigh three and a half pounds."
"That’s pretty good for seven months, right?" she asked, looking around. "Because I was born five pounds."
Cardi isn't the only one who has hinted at the sex of her baby. In a since-deleted Instagram caption last month, Cardi's sister, Hennessy Carolina, wrote: "I use to wish I was older than you just so I wouldve gotten the chance to carry you and give you kisses when you were a baby because you were so cute and adorable! and NOW that ur baby is coming its like it’s coming true! I’m going to be able to hold baby you and give her all the kisses and hugs!"
Cardi announced last month that she was taking a break from performing to focus on her pregnancy.
"So I just wanted to make this a little clear and everything. Broccoli Fest will be my last performance for a little while,” she said. “Shortie keep growing. I be looking like I be moving and everything, but in reality, a b**ch barely can breathe! I want to thank y’all for understanding. I’ll be back for the Bruno Mars tour and everything.”
