The pop princess put a new twist on the classic tune.
Britney Spears put a new twist on an Aretha Franklin classic.
On Monday night, the pop princess shared a video with her social media followers of her covering the Queen of Soul's 1968 song, "Think."
However, instead of singing the song completely a cappella, Spears added a high-pitch filter to her voice, so she sounded like the fourth members of Alvin and the Chipmunks. That being said, she still sounded pretty on pitch.
"Channeling my inner Aretha Franklin," the 36-year-old singer captioned the video. "The woman has got so much soul!!!!"
This isn't the first time Spears has covered a soulful tune. Last August during one of her Las Vegas residency shows, she did a rousing rendition of Bonnie Raitt's 1991 hit, "Something to Talk About."
