While at the Met Gala, the 'Gossip Girl' star carried a special message on her custom-made handbag.
Blake Lively didn't attend the Met Gala with Ryan Reynolds, but she found a creative way to keep him with her.
The Simple Favor star shared a closeup of her sparkling custom-made handbag from Monday's event, which featured the family name, alongside the initials of herself, her husband and their two daughters, 3-year-old James and 1-year-old Ines.
"Take your family to work day..." Lively, 31, captioned the Instagram snap posted on Thursday.
Her beaded bag complimented her burgundy Atelier Versace gown, which she hilariously compared to Jimmy Fallon's look at the New York City fashion event, consisting of none other than the lengthy train of her dress.
"So pi**ed," the actress captioned a snap of the Tonight Show host wrapped up in the train of her gown. "@jimmyfallon and I wore the SAME outfit to the Met."
Speaking of Lively's elaborate train, the star shared another photo of Oscar nominee Salma Hayek and her husband, Francois Henri-Pinault, holding the head-turning dress, and compared the move to the hit HBO series Game of Thrones.
"When @salmahayek and @francoishenripinault are carrying your train... this is when you know you’ve made it," she joked. "And also that you’re an egomaniacal a hole who must be stopped before you try to take Kings Landing. Cersei doesn’t stand a chance. GAH! There I go again!!"
As documented by Vogue, Lively and her gargantuan train had to take a bona fide party bus to the gala, complete with a stripper pole and neon lights. Naturally, before being fastened into her custom dress during the bus ride, Lively engaged in a dance-off with her stylists and crew.
"It's a costume gala, and I think the more years that you go, the more comfortable you are in making a statement," she told the fashion magazine.
