The 'Deadpool' actor is in his Avril Lavigne era.
Blake Lively's early aughts self is swooning. The 36-year-old actress shared a photo of husband Ryan Reynolds on Sunday looking grunge-chic with a skateboard, calling out a classic millennial anthem.
"Dreams really do come true," Lively wrote over the snap, tagging Avril Lavigne and setting her Instagram Story to the 2002 hit "Sk8ter Boi."
In the photo, 47-year-old Reynolds smirks at the camera while wearing a brown-and-green corduroy jacket, dark denim, classic white Chuck Taylors, and an orange beanie. He effortlessly holds a skateboard and helmet with one hand as he appears to walk past a playground.
Lavigne happily replied in kind by sharing Lively's post, adding an emphatic "Yass" with a few rock on emojis for good measure.
Lively and Reynolds, who have been linked since 2011 and married in 2012, have long been known to poke fun at one another on social media. Most recently, Reynolds trolled Lively for attending Super Bowl LVIII with pal Taylor Swift while he apparently stayed home.
The couple are parents to four kids: daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, Betty, 4, and a fourth child, whose birth was revealed in February 2023.
In a recent interview on her Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants co-star and longtime friend Amber Tamblyn's Further Ado Substack show, Lively revealed one of the cornerstones to prioritizing their relationship and their family dynamic.
"When Ryan and I got together, we made a rule not to work at the same time," Lively disclosed. "So that we could always prioritize our personal life."
Lively acknowledged the challenges of adhering to this rule, emphasizing the necessity of hard work and balance, particularly given her demanding schedule.
"That takes working really hard when we're not," she elaborated. "Just like financial planning and sustaining that; it takes balance."
Reynolds is currently promoting two upcoming projects in 2024, Deadpool & Wolverine -- out July 26 -- and IF -- out May 17.
Lively will next appear in the Justin Baldoni-directed film adaptation of Colleen Hoover's bestselling novel, It Ends With Us, which will be released on June 24.
