Blake Lively Kisses Ryan Reynolds While He's In Deadpool Costume and Makeup

Blake Lively's 'It Ends With Us' and Ryan Reynolds' 'Deadpool & Wolverine' both have theatrical releases this summer.

Even when he looks his worst, Blake Lively is head over heels for Ryan Reynolds.

The 36-year-old actress gave her 47-year-old hubby a smooch when he was in his Deadpool costume and makeup while on set of Deadpool & Wolverine. While most people might be appalled by Deadpool's heavily scarred appearance, Lively couldn't help but gush over her disfigured antihero.

"You can't say I was lying when I said, 'it's what's on the inside that matters,'" Lively captioned the pic of the two locking lips on her Instagram Story to NSYNC's "(God Must Have Spent) A Little More Time On You."

She continued, "Til death (or wade wilson) do us part."

Lively also shared the sweet pic to her and Reynolds' Instagram pages, along with a video about her secret connection to the Deadpool films.

"Tell me Deadpool is married to a millennial girl in real life without telling me…"

The video played different clips from the Deadpool movies that referenced millennial things, including: Avril Lavigne, Harry Potter, Frozen, Celine Dion, NSYNC, Sabrina the Teenage Witch, My Little Pony, summer balayage, Judy Blume and meta humor.

"I have never felt more seen," Lively said with a smile.

The Gossip Girl alum paid tribute to her husband in a lengthy caption while promoting her upcoming film, It Ends With Us.

"Brb I'm buying milky pens to write your name on my hand @vancityreynolds," Lively wrote.

She continued, "My y2k girlies, I should be competitive bc @itendswithusmovie is coming out in 3 weeks BUT when your middle school obsessions, your feelings post baby, or about Nice men who use feminism as a tool, your love of the Wizard of Oz, Succession, Sandy & Danny, driving with Avril blasting, the way the choreography of a certain boy*band song got me, of Baz Luhrmann fireworks to punctuate a moment, even down to the fact that our hair color is determined by seasons and the French method by which it's painted are all so seen… MY WORD… it's hard not to encourage my ladies to spot all the ways we've influenced @deadpoolmovie I've never been more proud. And I've given birth 4 times. 🤣❤️💛."

Lively and Reynolds, who wed in September 2012, have always been each other's No. 1 fan. They've publicly teased and supported one another on countless occasions. Just this month, Lively has joked that Reynolds was trying to get her "pregnant again" while he was sporting a colorful suit and being sweet with a dog at a recent event for his and Hugh Jackman's film. She also shared a fun "family portrait" on her Instagram Story highlighting side-by-side It Ends With Us and Deadpool & Wolverine posters.

Fans have speculated that Lively will make an appearance in Deadpool & Wolverine as Lady Deadpool. Reynolds recently spoke with ComicBook about what it would be like to hypothetically work with Lively in a Marvel project.

"She's not half the friend that Hugh is," he told the outlet incredibly seriously, causing Jackman and director Shawn Levy to laugh.

"You know, in the old days, they all got to work together, hanging out," Reynolds explained about Hollywood’s Golden Age movies that put real-life couples in starring roles. "We got Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn ... That'd be nice, I'd love to work with Blake."

He added, "I can't afford her fee, but I would love that."

This month Reynolds also appeared as a guest on Live with Kelly and Mark, where he talked about being ready to reunite with his wife.

Co-hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos noted that Lively would be coming on the show in a couple weeks. When they asked Reynolds what they should ask or tell her, he declared, "Please come home, me and the kids miss her."

Later speaking about their habit of "trolling" each other on social media, Ryan shared, "I think it's the sign of a healthy relationship." But trolling aside, he explained, "There's an invisible line I could put between any great relationship which is that like, we genuinely root for each other, and I think that that's the foundation of it that I think works really well."

Lively and Reynolds share four children together -- daughters James, 9, Inez, 7, Betty, 4, and a fourth child, born in 2023, who has not been named.

It Ends With Us will hit theaters Aug. 9, while Deadpool & Wolverine comes out July 26.
