Mindy Kaling secretly welcomed her daughter, Anne, in February.
B.J. Novak has a new little one in his life! The 44-year-old actor and writer opened up about meeting the newest addition to his pal, Mindy Kaling's, family.
Last month, Kaling revealed that she secretly welcomed a baby girl named Anne in February.
When Novak, an ex and longtime friend of Kaling's, was asked whether he'd met little Anne, he replied to People, "Of course. She's adorable and the best."
Kaling, 45, is also mom to daughter Katherine, 6, and Spencer, 3. She has chosen to keep the identity of her children's father or fathers private.
Novak is the godfather of Kaling's eldest children. In 2022, Kaling spoke to ET about why her co-star in The Office makes a great godfather.
"He's very good with children!" Kaling shared. "He literally wrote a bestselling book called The Book With No Pictures for kids."
"It comes very innately to him, you know, like being with children," she added. "So he's a great godfather."
The longtime pals sparked feud rumors earlier this year after not being spotted together in public.
After the celebrity gossip Instagram account Deux Moi posted that Kaling and Novak had a falling out in March, Kaling jokingly commented directly on the post, writing, "OMG I haate him so much."
In early 2023, Novak presented Kaling with the Norman Lear Award for Achievement in Television at the Producers Guild Awards, where he opened up about their early romance.
"We were in love with each other, and we were reckless idiots. The two of us would argue about all of these things forever, grinding the writers' room to a halt until we got too upset and we'd go to our respective offices and slam the door where we would continue arguing over AOL Instant Messenger," Novak quipped. "It was 2005. My screen name was @DaxSucks because I imagined myself in a rivalry with actor Dax Shepard. Hers was even stupider -- @Fairfax1240 because that was her home address."
He described their relationship as a "tumultuous, romantic, toxic, boundary-less mess," adding, "We made it work or didn't work, we made it through."
