The 32-year-old singer has been dating restaurateur Ryan Gleason for five years.

Alexa Ray Joel celebrated the new year with a brand new fiance. On Monday, Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley's daughter took to Instagram with a sweet photo of herself kissing her longtime boyfriend, Ryan Gleason, and showing off her engagement ring.
"He said to me: 'Before I met you, my world was in black and white. You colored it in between the lines,'" she captioned the pic on Instagram. "It was the most beautiful thing anybody’s ever said to me. How could I possibly say no to that?!?!"
The 32-year-old singer also posted a pic of the two on the beach shortly after the proposal, which Alexa's rep confirmed took place over the New Year's Eve holiday.
"So I was completely taken off-guard, dumbstruck, and shell-shocked- and FOR ONCE in my life, I had absolutely no words, and I couldn’t speak..." she explained. "I just kept staring at this ridiculously exquisite ring- and he was just hysterically laughing at me!!!"
Ryan also shared the good news on social media, posting a pic of his and his new fiancee's hands, which proudly showed off Joel's massive new rock.
"Luckiest guy in the world!!!!" he wrote.
Not only do they now have an engagement to celebrate, the loved-up duo were also enjoying a beach vacay in honor of Alexa's birthday -- she turned 32 on Dec. 29.
The couple has been dating for five years. Back in July, Brinkley told ET that the restaurateur had her stamp of approval. "I totally approve. Nicest guy, real sweetheart," the 63-year-old supermodel said of Ryan. "He just gets her, and I see him sort of looking at her in that special way. It's sweet."
Alexa is the only child of Joel and Brinkley, who divorced in 1994. Joel, 68, also has two young daughters, Della and Remy, with his fourth wife, Alexis Roderick, while Brinkley has a 22-year-old son, Jack, from her marriage to Richard Taubman and a 19-year-old daughter, Sailor, with her ex-husband Peter Cook.
