The 'Real Housewives of New York' star says the two are currently just friends.
Bethenny Frankel's dating life just got way more interesting!
The Real Housewives of New York City star was a guest on the Kyle & Jackie O radio show on Monday, where she revealed she once went on a date with Meghan Markle's ex-husband, producer Trevor Engelson.
"I met him in Chicago and we were supposed to go out, and I ended up seeing him one time and he’d been texting me," Bethenny claimed, admitting she didn't realize how famous he was at the time. "He's a producer in L.A. He told me that he was married before. He's divorced [now]. He was married to this girl named Meghan Markle from the TV show Suits."
Long before Meghan fell in love with her soon-to-be husband, Prince Harry, she was married to Trevor from 2011-2013. They first started dating in 2004, before saying "I do" in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, in September 2011. They divorced in August 2013.
Bethenny says that once she heard the news that Meghan was engaged to Prince Harry, she sent Trevor a text message. "'I’m like, 'Holy s**t, your ex is going to be a princess!" she recalled, saying that the two are now considering collaborating professionally.
"He pitched me a TV show idea to produce together about a bunch of businesswomen, which I think we are going to do together," she explained.
Bethenny continued on, reiterating that her relationship with Trevor is just business, not romantic.
"He looks a little bit like my ex, which scares me," she joked. "We bypassed the romantics and went into the business. But I don't know there's something there, there's something salacious about doing a TV project with Meghan Markle's ex."
With all the royal wedding planning Meghan has going on ahead of her and Harry's May 19 nuptials, we doubt the former Suits star is losing any sleep over who her ex-husband is and is not dating. Over the past few months, the bride-to-be has been busy sending out wedding invitations, selecting a florist and cake designer and going over all the details of her dress with her mother, Doria Radlan.
