'Bel-Air' season 3 premieres on Peacock on Aug. 15.
Joseph Marcell is back in Bel-Air.
The 75-year-old actor is best known for portraying Geoffrey Butler, the butler on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, from 1990 to 1996. In the season 3 trailer of Bel-Air, the dramatic reimagining of the beloved sitcom, Marcell makes a surprise guest star appearance.
At the end of the trailer, Marcell appears as a mysterious member of the Banks' family's past.
"There's always gonna be a price," Marcell's character ominously says. "That's on you."
Bel-Air's season 3 synopsis is as follows: "School’s out for the summer, and Will (Jabari Banks) is doing Bel-Air his way. Being a part of the Banks family has given him a new perspective -- it isn’t just about wealth, it means that Will now has options to lean into other things that excite him and has the privilege to dream bigger."
The trailer teases a mix of excitement, romance, danger and opulence for the series regulars, which also includes: Adrian Holmes (Phillip Banks), Cassandra Freeman (Vivian Banks), Olly Sholotan (Carlton Banks), Coco Jones (Hilary Banks), Akira Akbar (Ashley Banks), Jimmy Akingbola (Geoffrey), Jordan L. Jones (Jazz) and Simone Joy Jones (Lisa).
"Summer is no vacation," the trailer reads.
After The Fresh Prince, Marcell had roles on Brothers and Sisters, The Bold and the Beautiful and the British soap opera EastEnders. In 2019, he played Chief Wembe in the film The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind. In 2020, he appeared on the Ryan Murphy series Ratched.
ET spoke with Tatyana Ali, who played Ashley Banks in the original Fresh Prince of Bel-Air series, ahead of Bel-Air's second season, in which she joined the reboot in a recurring guest star appearance as Mrs. Hughes, an English Literature teacher at Bel-Air Middle School. She praised the cast for making the Fresh Prince legacy their own.
"Reboots happen and this one happened in such a different way -- it's a complete reimagining, its own show" she told ET.
"I think we all feel very much like they've taken the initial concept of the show and made it their own and run with it," Ali added of her former Fresh Prince castmates. "That it is its own show and I think now that it's in its second season, the proof of concept is there. Now that they've got wings, they're going to fly with them... Somebody called it like a legacy -- I don't know if that's what it is -- but to have that on top of the emotional full circle-ness of it, is just... who gets to do that? Like when do you get to do that in your life or your career? It's cool."
The third season of Bel-Air premieres on Peacock on Aug. 15.
