The awards show marks her first red carpet since her brother, Jordan Feldstein's, death last month.
Beanie Feldstein didn't have to go far to find her SAG Awards look.
The Lady Bird star wore her high school prom dress down the red carpet at the awards show on Sunday, rocking her black Kay Unger gown.
The 24-year-old actress, who is nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture with the cast of Lady Bird, dished on her surprising dress choice during an interview with The Cut earlier this month.
“I put it on and it fit, surprisingly maybe better than it did in high school! I looked at myself and I was like, WHAT!? and my mom and her best friend were just laughing so hard, like, ‘You have to wear it! There’s just no other dress that would be better,'" she revealed, adding that she viewed wearing her prom dress as a tribute to Lady Bird.
"It’s just a gorgeous dress, and I love how my character’s story ends at the prom, so like, for the first time I’m going to an awards show as a nominee with the cast, it’s like, 'You gotta wear your prom dress, girl, and honor Julie,'" she said.
It was the first public appearance for Feldstein, since her brother, music producer Jordan Feldstein, died on Dec. 22 at age 40. She called him "one of the most incredible people I've ever known in my life."
