A look back at the famous couples of Emmy's past.
The Emmys are not only television's biggest night, but they're also a big date night for some of the hottest couples in Hollywood. With the 66th annual Primetime Emmys upon us, we're looking back at the A-list pairs who once blissfully walked the Emmy's red carpet together.
Ellen DeGeneres and Anne Heche were quite the "it" couple at the 1997 Emmys. The twosome hit the carpet at the beginning of their nearly four year relationship. Heche was right by DeGeneres' side that night as she took home an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for her sitcom Ellen.
The year before in 1996, George Clooney's date was French law student Celine Balitran. The couple split three years later. Fast forward to 2010, when the perpetual bachelor had another lady on his arm at the Emmys: Italian beauty Elisabetta Canalis.

As history has shown on the Emmy's red carpet, many couples were also respective co-stars at the time.
From Lois and Clark's Teri Hatcher and Dean Cain in 1993 to Jennifer Love Hewitt and Ghost Whisperer co-star Jamie Kennedy in 2009, these stars took their relationships public.
Then there were the famous pairs trying to keep their relationships under wraps. In '09, The Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco and then-boyfriend and co-star Johnny Galecki walked the red carpet separately. But perhaps the biggest shocker was at the '03 Emmys when The Sopranos star Edie Falco arrived with Stanley Tucci.
