Awards season is back to its regularly scheduled program! With a new year of music, TV and movies for folks to enjoy comes the annual run of awards that follows -- complete with stylish red carpet looks, historic wins, heartwarming (and heart-wrenching) speeches, and attempts at comic sketches from hosts and presenters that will run the gamut from hilarious and memorable to wildly cringeworthy.
Below, ET has your handy calendar that will be continuously updated with all the key dates and details as we learn more about what's to come from the Golden Globes, the Oscars, the GRAMMY Awards and more.
Golden Globes
When: Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. PT
Where: The Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles
How to Watch: The 82nd Golden Globes will air live on CBS and Paramount+ with SHOWTIME or on-demand for Paramount+ Essential subscribers the day after it airs.
What to Know: The Golden Globes will air on CBS for the second year after switching from its longtime home on NBC. Nominations for the 82nd annual awards show will be announced on Dec. 9, 2024, at 5 a.m. PT.
GRAMMY Awards
When: Sunday, Feb. 2, 2025, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET and 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. PT
Where: The Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles
How to Watch: The 67th annual GRAMMY Awards will broadcast live on CBS and stream live and on-demand on Paramount+.
What to Know: Nominees for the annual awards show will be announced on Nov. 8. Albums and songs released between Sept. 16, 2023 and Aug. 30, 2024 will be eligible. First-round voting will run from Oct 4-15 and final voting will run from Dec. 12 through Jan. 3, 2025.
Academy Awards
When: Sunday, March 2, 2025, at 7 p.m. ET and 5 p.m. PT
Where: Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California
How to Watch: The show will broadcast live on ABC.
What to Know: Next year's award show will feature a new rule for best picture hopefuls.
Per a board edict issued in June 2023, in order to be eligible for the best picture Oscar a film will have to meet the following additional theatrical standards: (1) Expanded theatrical run of seven days, consecutive or non-consecutive, in 10 of the top 50 U.S. markets, no later than 45 days after the initial release in 2024; (2) For late-in-the-year films with expansions after Jan. 10, 2025, distributors must submit release plans to the Academy for verification; (3) Release plans for late-in-the-year films must include a planned expanded theatrical run, as described above, to be completed no later than Jan. 24, 2025; (4) Non-U.S. territory releases can count towards two of the 10 markets; (5) Qualifying non-U.S. markets include the top 15 international theatrical markets plus the home territory for the film.
