The reality stars open up about various 'Vanderpump Rules' topics on 'Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.'
Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney put their friendship to the test.
The Vanderpump Rules stars were guests on Tuesday's episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen and engaged in a game called the "BFF Test," where they had to answer questions simultaneously.
Amid the banter, Cohen probed them about the financial successes within their circle, specifically inquiring about who, besides Madix, profited the most from Scandoval, the term used to describe Tom Sandoval's affair with Rachel Leviss while he was still with Madix, which played out on VPR. In a delayed response, both Madix and Maloney pointed to Lala Kent.
After receiving a legal notice regarding an alleged explicit video involving Leviss and Sandoval, Kent advised Leviss via Instagram Story in March 2023 to forward any legal documents to her attorney, Darrell Miller.
"Raquel, tell your little Mickey Mouse lawyer that if he has stuff to send over, he can send things to my lawyer, same with the rest of my friends and cast, alright?" Kent said at the time. "I don’t know if you know how this works, you’re pretty brand new to the game. … Send it to Darrell!"
Following the viral social media video, Kent capitalized by creating merchandise featuring the phrase, "Send it to Darrell."
"I can say that it allowed me to pay the down payment on my home, and that was, like, within a few hours," Kent revealed when on the Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen after show in June 2023. "The amount of money that we made on 'send it to Darrell' is pretty mind-blowing. Darrell's a big star now."
In February, Kent revealed on her Give Them Lala podcast that she had purchased a new home in Los Angeles, California. Reflecting on the experience, Kent expressed, "Being a homeowner is very strange and weird, but also awesome." Kent also owns a vacation home in Palm Springs, California.
As the game progressed, Madix and Maloney offered insights into various aspects of their co-stars' lives, from relationships to career ventures. Notably, they discussed predictions about the success of bars owned by Jax Taylor, Sandoval and Tom Schwartz, with both women leaning towards Taylor's establishment as one that will do well due to its attachment to Rocco's, an existing sports bar.
Cohen turned the spotlight on Scheana Shay, asking Madix and Maloney to weigh in on whether Shay was currently a better friend to Madix or Sandoval. Both women aligned in their responses, indicating that Shay was a better friend to Sandoval. Madix, with a chuckle, clarified, "I don't mean that as shade."
As the game progressed, Cohen delved into reality TV drama, referencing The Valley, a spinoff featuring some of the Vanderpump Rules cast. He probed Madix and Maloney about which separation had shocked them more: Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor's split or Jesse and Michelle Lally's.
The consensus was clear: the women were surprised by Cartwright and Taylor's breakup.
At this weekend's White House Correspondents' Dinner, Taylor opened up about his recent split from Cartwright.
Speaking to ET at the event in Washington D.C., Taylor admitted, "The separation has definitely been good for me, but I do miss her. I miss her a lot. So, I don't know, we'll see if she'll take me back."
Cartwright announced her separation from Taylor in February, and The Valley star responded by picking up the cameras to catch the fallout for the tail end of its freshman season. Amid rumors about the reason for their split, Cartwright addressed the situation in an interview with ET, admitting that she hit her "breaking point" with Taylor.
Vanderpump Rules airs Tuesdays on Bravo.
