The 25-year-old shared the decades-old pic on Sunday!
Ariana Grande is giving fans a peek at her natural locks!
On Sunday, the 25-year-old pop star took to Twitter to share a throwback photo of herself from 20 years ago. In the black-and-white pic, Grande is grinning and waving at the camera with her dark, curly hair hanging just above her shoulders. The much shorter hair and its wild curls are far from Grande's current look, which consists of a long, straight, slicked-back ponytail.
"if i’m honest ..... this is still exactly what i look like without lashes and my pony," Grande captioned the shot. "..... anyone who knows me knows me knows ..... like .... i’m twenty five. i was five here."
"the only difference now is that hand now says bbq grill finger," Grande quipped, in reference to her newly acquired, misspelled palm tattoo.
Originally meant to mean "7 Rings," in honor of one of her latest songs, the Japanese Kanji character symbols that Grande used for the ink actually translated to "shichirin," a word for a Japanese style BBQ grill. Grande went on to try and correct the error, but some fans thought the translation was still incorrect.
Grande's fans were delighted with the throwback photo, with some deeming her "so cute" and others hilariously editing the pic to make it match current shots of the singer.
The throwback pic came the same day that Grande took home her first GRAMMY Award, Best Pop Vocal Album for Sweetener. Despite skipping the awards show amid drama from its producers, Grande took to Instagram to acknowledge her huge accomplishment.
"I know i’m not there tonight (trust, i tried and still truly wished it had worked out tbh) and i know i said i try not to put too much weight into these things .... but f**k ....... ? this is wild and beautiful," she wrote. "Thank you so much. i love u @pharrell@scooterbraun @allisonjamiekaye every human being at @republicrecords @awsuki@ilya_music Max Martin @tbhits@victoriamonet @socialhouse@recordingacademy & the voters ?."
