"I woke him up in the middle of the night, and I was like, 'Are you f**king so and so?'"
Anna Faris and Kat Von D are over their cheating exes! The two women sounded off on past loves who had been unfaithful on Faris' podcast, Anna Faris Is Unqualified, earlier this week.
"I dated somebody who cheated on me, like, intensely. I don't know how it's physically possible to f**k so many people," said Von D, who has dated Steve-O, Deadmau5, Nikki Sixx and Jesse James.
When Faris asked her if she knew about her unnamed ex's infidelity, the tattoo artist replied, "Well, the first batch of emails that I found were about 18 confirmed people that he had sex with during the one year that we were together... I think I was in denial, maybe a little bit. I wanted this to be real and it wasn't. But I used to be a hopeless romantic."
In a 2011 blog post, Von D told fans of James' alleged cheating. “Today I encountered the 19th girl to add to the list of people Jesse cheated on me with during this last year,” she wrote at the time.
Faris also opened up about her own struggles with a cheating ex, though she also didn't name anyone directly.
"I remember suspecting an ex of cheating on me. I woke him up in the middle of the night, and I was like, 'Are you f**king so-and-so?' And he was like, 'You're crazy,'" she recalled. "And I'm pretty oblivious sometimes, you know, especially in relationships. Of course I don't want to believe that anything [is going on]. But there was that gut feeling that was starting to grow more and more."
She said she eventually confirmed the cheating years later through friends.
"I do think as women we're sort of taught to suppress fear or suspicion because we might be deemed as suspicious or neurotic or crazy or whatever," she said. "So I think that in my case I was like, 'OK, maybe he's right. Maybe I am crazy.'"
Faris was married to actor Ben Indra from 2004 to 2008 and to actor Chris Pratt from 2009 to 2018.
She also revealed that Indra got her name tattooed on him before they were married.
"He didn't have any tattoos, either, and then one day he was like, 'I'm going to get your name tattooed on my arm.' And I said, 'Please don't,'" she recalled. "At the time we weren't married. The whole time I was like, 'What does this mean for me?' He viewed it as romantic, and I viewed it as, 'Oh, boy, what's he going to do if I leave?' And he changed it."
