'American Idol' Sneak Peek: Reagan Mills Stuns the Judges -- and Reminds Them of Leslie Jordan (Exclusive)

Talented worship leader Reagan Mills even earns a comparison to a beloved television star.

The American Idol coaches are nothing but thrilled when Reagan Mills walks into the audition room.

In ET's exclusive sneak peek at Sunday's episode, the 24-year-old hopeful wins over Luke BryanKaty Perry and Lionel Richie from his very first words, as they are delighted by his high-register Texas accent, with Luke immediately comparing him to the late, great Leslie Jordan.

However, when he asks Reagan to say, "Well, sh*t!" like Jordan did, the preacher's son demurs. "My mom might spank me if I do," he admits.

He does, however, give the judges a full turn so they can take in his bedazzled ensemble.

"I just figured if I was gonna be a star, I might as well come on American Idol and shine!" Reagan insists.

And he's certainly got the talent. After impressing the judges with his personality, Reagan then takes to the piano, wowing them with his rendition of The Clark Sisters' "Is My Living in Vain."

ET spoke with the Idol judges last fall as they auditioned singers for the upcoming season -- which marks their seventh together as a group.

"Don't even try it!" Lionel agreed.

The group shared that they learn more about each other every season, with this season in particular being revelatory as they traveled to each of their hometowns -- Santa Barbara, California; Tuskegee, Alabama; and Leesburg, Georgia.

"Oh, you have no idea," Lionel promised, while Luke recalled, "It was like being on a field trip."

American Idol airs Sundays at 8 p.m. PT/ET on ABC.
