Alabama Barker Says She's on Weight-Loss Medication Because She Looks 'Like a Damn Ogre' in Pictures

Travis Barker's daughter, Alabama Barker, made a heartbreaking confession during a 'get ready with me' video on social media.

Alabama Barker is opening up about her body image. The 18-year-old daughter of Travis Barker and step-daughter of Kourtney Kardashian shared on social media that she's currently using weight loss medication because she's "tired of being fat."

The teen spoke to her followers in a "get ready with me" video that was later reposted by a fan account, explaining how she believes she looks better in real life than she does in photographs.

"I have this thing where I photograph so ugly and people are like, 'Oh my God, you're so fat and you're so ugly,'" she said in the video. "It's like, I see what you guys are seeing but just meet me in person. I feel like I really don't look like that."

She continued, "I'm on weight loss medication because I'm tired of being fat and photographing like a damn ogre."

The revelation comes nearly one year after Alabama hit back at critics of her appearance online, sharing that she was suffering from "a thyroid problem and an autoimmune disease."

"So that's one of the main reasons why I have weight gain," Alabama stated in August 2023. "So, it would be very appreciated if you guys just keep your opinions to yourself. It'll get you further in life."

That being said, the young celeb said that once her health issues got "balanced," she would lose weight. Although she stressed that she hadn't gained more than "five, 10 pounds," which isn't unusual for girls of any age in any situation.

"Weight fluctuates," she said. "I don't want any girls that are young, watching this, that are gaining weight, to ever think there's something wrong with it."

Alabama is the Blink-182 drummer's third child with ex-wife Shanna Moakler, following the birth of brother Landon Barker, 20. Travis also helped raise Moakler's first-born daughter, Atiana De La Hoya, 25.

Travis and Kourtney welcomed a new addition to their family, baby Rocky, on Nov. 1, 2023. The blended family also includes Kourtney's kids with ex Scott Disick, Mason Disick, 14, Penelope Disick, 12 and Reign Disick, 9.

"Kourtney and Travis are happier than ever," a source told ET earlier this month. "Since welcoming Rocky, it’s become even more evident that they were meant for each other. They are just as in love as they were when they first got together."

The source added that Kourtney, 45, and Travis, 48, barely spend time away from each other.

"They are completely inseparable, by choice, and love to travel, plan fun activities and events together, spend time at home, and shop for their house and baby," the source said. "They make sure to carve out time for each other as a couple and know that it’s needed and respected.
