The former 'SNL' star is returning to host for the first time, and this first promo is giving fans chills.
Adam Sandler is returning to Studio 8H to host Saturday Night Live for the first time since leaving the show in 1995, and he's looking back at some of his most beloved characters.
To commemorate his legacy on the show, the latest promo for his upcoming episode showed Sandler walking down the studio's main hallway, lined with photos from SNL's past years.
"Wow, look at this guy. So young," Sandler says as he gazes on stills from some of his most famous sketches, before coming upon what appears to be a weird, out-of-place paparazzi photo. And then the pics get even stranger.
"Is that my backyard?" Sandler mutters to himself as he looks at a candid photo of himself barbecuing outdoors. He then comes across another photo of himself, this one taken from inside his SUV. "Uh, how did they get that picture? That's my car…"
The photos get progressively more unsettling and include candid shots from inside Sandler's home as he brushes his teeth and even as he sleeps.
"What the f---" Sandler mumbles before getting startled by the show's longest-serving castmember, Kenan Thompson.
"Adam," Thompson says, staring at the former SNL star with a disturbing, unwavering gaze. "You never really leave."
After giving Sandler a long, awkward smile, Thompson drops his creepy grin and laughs, "Naw, I'm just kidding, man. Bring it in! Good to see you!"
The horror, however, picks up strong as Thompson hugs the comedy icon and his true demonic form is revealed!
Sandler's hotly anticipated return to Saturday Night Live airs Saturday, May 4, at 11:30 p.m. ET, 8:30 p.m. PT on NBC.
