Chantel's foray back into dating after her messy divorce from Pedro isn't exactly smooth sailing. In this exclusive clip from the season premiere of 90 Day: The Single Life, Chantel meets a handsome man in Greece, but after a romantic ride on his motorcycle and a kiss, she unexpectedly breaks down in tears.
In the trailer for the new season of 90 Day: The Single Life, Chantel shares a hot kiss with a man on a motorcycle and this clip, we see the aftermath. She touches his face and smiles big as he tells her he'll wait for her call. At first, Chantel and her friends are overjoyed at the spicy encounter.
"I got my adrenaline going, and it felt wrong but it felt good," she tells cameras.
But suddenly she freaks out, as the encounter triggered a memory with Pedro.
"Oh my god, no!" she yells, alarming her friends. "No! This is happening to me again. That's what Pedro did for me. Pedro took me on the four wheelers on the island. Oh my god, no! I'm freaking out. I'm freaking out. That's how Pedro got me."
"When Pedro filed for divorce the rug was definitely ripped out from under me and the wind knocked out of me," she also tells cameras. "My entire fantasy of what I expected for my life and my marriage was shattered."
As her friends attempt to calm her down, she breaks down in tears.
"I'm here in Greece trying to find love, but it's really derailing me when something triggers me like this," she notes. "Time is precious and I need to make sure I don't spend too much time thinking about the past. I'm trying to put it all behind me and make sure I don't make those mistakes again."
The season premiere of 90 Day: The Single Life airs Monday, Jan. 1, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on TLC. For a first look at the new season, watch the video below.
