Ben Affleck isn’t the only one!
Ben Affleck may have a phoenix rising from the ashes, but the Justice League actor isn’t the only one with some prime real estate taken up on his back! Check out some other celebs who took their fresh ink to new heights...er, sizes.
1. Adam Levine
Levine took to Instagram to share the finished project of his extra-large back tattoo in February 2016, which apparently took six months to finish.
2. Ben Affleck
The first good look at Affleck’s massive back tattoo happened in March of this year, when he was photographed on a beach in Hawaii. When asked about the bold ink, Affleck’s good pal, Matt Damon, told Trevor Noah, “It's not one man's job to tell another man what he can do to his back...I support him in all of his artistic expression.”
3. Justin Theroux
Theroux’s back tattoo was on full display on the HBO series The Leftovers, and many fans believed it to be fake. “Those are my tattoos,” he said in 2014. “I’ve been concealing them for years.”
4. Amy Schumer
The I Feel Pretty star’s tattoo is on her lower back, but Schumer has made a name for herself discussing her tattoo all the same. Her memoir, The Girl With The Lower Back Tattoo, topped The New York Times best-seller list when it was released in 2016.
5. Cheryl Cole
The former X Factor judge has a rose tattoo that covers her entire lower back and bum. She once said that if she thought she could handle the pain, she would have her entire back done.
6. Lady Gaga
The “Bad Romance” singer debuted a giant moth back tattoo in 2017, just hours before she joined Metallica onstage at the GRAMMYS. The tattoo was later revealed to be fake, but the 32-year-old is pretty inked up, nonetheless.
7. Ed Sheeran
Sheeran’s tattoo isn’t on his back, but it’s too good not to share. The “Shape of You” singer has a giant lion tattoo across his chest in honor of selling out three nights at the largest concert venue in England, Wembley Stadium.
8. Ryan Sheckler
What started out as simply his last name across his shoulders, has now grown to an entire back full of tattoos. The professional skateboarder has a skate park complete with angels and a sunset.
9. David Beckham
Beckham got his first tattoo in 2000 -- a guardian angel down the middle of his back. The professional soccer player later added the names of his three sons, in addition to his full sleeves on both arms.
10. Nick Cannon
The Wild ‘n Out star got the name of his former spouse, Mariah Carey, across his shoulder blades after their 2008 nuptials. They split in 2014, and he has since covered it up with a giant crucifix.
11. Drake
The “Hotline Bling” singer has portraits of many of his family members tattooed across his back, along with images of Denzel Washington, Lil Wayne, and Anthony "Fif" Soares in other places.
