Simmons was close friends with 17-year-old twins D'Lila and Jessie's late mother, Kim Porter.
Kimora Lee Simmons celebrated a special milestone with Sean "Diddy" Combs and Kim Porter's twins.
On Sunday, the fashion mogul took to her Instagram Story to share pictures of 17-year-old Jessie James and D'Lila Star during their Senior prom send-off.
"Prom 2024! I am so very proud of you my babies! I love you always and will protect you fiercely to the end with all I have! Congrats my loves! You made it! @the_combs_twins," Simmons wrote over a picture of the two girls looking at each other and admiring their looks.
The former model gave the world a full look at their identical dresses and their prom ride in another post.
"You know you're cooked when you let the babies take your lambo!," Simmons wrote. "I love you Jesie and D'Lila! You are STUNNING! @the_combs_twins," she wrote.
Jessie and D'Lila stunned as they wore matching dresses that had bedazzled corset tops and long black tulle skirts with high slits. The girls opted for trendy face jewels and wore their tresses out.
Combs did not share any photos on his respective Instagram.
The music mogul and his ex-girlfriend, Kim Porter, welcomed their twins in 2006. The pair also are parents of Christian, 26. Diddy also raised Porter's son, Quincy, 32, and is the father of Justin, 30, (who he shares with Misa Hylton), Chance, 17, (who he shares with Sarah Chapman), and Love, 1, (who he shares with Dana Tran).
Porter died in 2018. She was 47. Simmons -- who is the mother of five -- has since stepped in to help care for the twins.
In April, Chance attended her senior prom alongside Chloe and Halle Bailey's younger brother, Branson.
Combs' celebratory milestones with his children come amid more headline-making news over his treatment of ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. On Friday, CNN released a video from 2016 which shows the Bad Boy Records founder physically assaulting the "Me & U" songstress. The events shown in the video are similarly described by Ventura in a 35-page lawsuit filed in November 2023. A day after it was filed, the two reached a settlement.
On Sunday, Combs took to Instagram to share a public video apology for his actions.
"It's so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that. I was f****d up -- I hit rock bottom -- but I make no excuses," Combs said to the camera. "My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I was disgusted then when I did it. I'm disgusted now. I went and I sought out professional help. I got into going to therapy, going to rehab," he continued.
"I had to ask God for his mercy and grace," he said. "I'm so sorry. But I'm committed to be a better man each and every day. I'm not asking for forgiveness. I'm truly sorry."
Ventura's legal team responded to the video in a statement to ET on Sunday.
"Combs' most recent statement is more about himself than the many people he has hurt," Meredith Firetog, partner at Wigdor LLP, said. "When Cassie and multiple other women came forward, he denied everything and suggested that his victims were looking for a payday. That he was only compelled to 'apologize' once his repeated denials were proven false shows his pathetic desperation, and no one will be swayed by his disingenuous words."
