Boris Kodjoe and Luis Guzman also try their hand at acing 'Operation.'
Mark your calendars: In one week, Code Black is back!
CBS’ medical drama is days away from launching its sophomore season, and there will be several new faces, most notably Rob Lowe, joining in on the fun.

Lowe, who most recently starred on Fox’s short-lived comedy, The Grinder, plays Dr. Ethan Willis, a colonel attached to the U.S. military’s Combat Casualty Care research program. Also joining the cast as regulars are Noah Gray-Cabey, Nafessa Williams and Emily Tyra, who all play first-year ER residents.
To gear up for the new season, members of the Code Black cast had some fun playing the popular kids’ game, Operation, which you can exclusively watch on ET. In the silly video, Lowe is joined by Boris Kodjoe and Luis Guzman, as they try to use the doctor skills they’ve learned to ace the game.

At first, Kodjoe seems to have the best luck and he even brags a little at his Operation success, “No sound has been made yet, which means that I’m succeeding. It’s amazing how I do this.” Of course, seconds later, Kodjoe gets buzzed! “You didn’t hear that,” he says, as you hear laughs in the background.
It’s fair to say they’re better off playing doctors on TV! Watch the video above to see who succeeds (or not).
Code Black premieres Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
