Ferrera, 32, recently opened up to ET about the starring in the half-hour sitcom, which centers on a group of employees at a big box store, admitting, “It was a little outside my comfort zone.”
"I was taken by this world and [creator] Justin [Spitzer]'s writing and the possibilities we had to explore these everyday working-class people in a very familiar setting," Ferrera said. "It was exciting to give life and dimension to characters that could very easily be written off as stereotypical, non-consequential people."
The Voice premieres on Monday, Sept. 19 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Superstore returns on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
