Chris Harrison announced that the 'Bachelorette' alum would be leading season 20 during Monday's 'Bachelor in Paradise: After Paradise.'
After weeks of speculation as to who the new Bachelor is going to be, Chris Harrison finally revealed the news during Monday night’s Bachelor in Paradise: After Paradise.
The new Bachelor is… Ben Higgins!
We're not sure if we should yawn or let out a half-hearted, "Ummm… yay?"
It's true that the 26-year-old software salesman is a far better choice than Bachelorette two-timer Nick Viall, but we've got some hesitation about having Ben as the next Bachelor. (In fact, we have four reasons why we're not sure if he's the right fit.)

The biggest reason, of course, was that during Kaitlyn Bristow's journey for love, Ben Higgins was pretty damn boring. No offense, Ben fans, but in our humble Bachelorette-loving opinion, we never really noticed the 6'4" hunk throughout the entire season – and that's saying something!
Amy Schumer, however, seems to be a fan of the new Bachelor. The comedian called into the Bachelor in Paradise aftershow to congratulate Higgins ...sorta. "Ben, I am so excited for you. I hope you find love," Schumer said. "Do you want to have phone sex right now?"
There was plenty of buzz back in July that Ben had already been named the next Bachelor, and at the time, Bristowe's cast-off addressed the rumors exclusively with ET. "The opportunity is a great one and from a 30,000 foot view I would have to consider it," the Denver native shared.
