Dance Moms' Abby Lee Miller opened up to ET about the lawsuit against co-star Kelly Hyland after the slap heard around the world.
Kelly famously struck Abby on the face during an altercation caught by Dance Mom cameras. Now, Abby tells us that their tiff has grown to another level.
"The whole incident is very unfortunate," said Abby. "There's a criminal case in New York City, and it's the state versus her, and I'm out of it now, and that's all I'm at liberty to say."
Abby went on to spill details about her new book Everything I Learned About Life, I Learned in Dance Class.
"This book is definitely filled with tough-love advice, but it's also written in a way that shows you my experiences to get to this point. You don't start out in the morning when you wake up just being mean and tough on a kid. It evolves."
Abby told us that it's not until the child doesn't seem to understand her instructions that she raises her voice.
"If the kid gets it the first time, it never gets to that point," said Abby.
Dance Moms returns to Lifetime on July 29 at 9/8c.
