Alison Sweeney Leaving 'Days of Our Lives'
After 21 years, Alison Sweeney is leaving Days Of Our Lives.
The actress made the announcement during her sit-down on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, airing Tuesday. The 37-year-old star told Ellen, "I'm celebrating my 21st year [on Days] ...and I decided that it's going to be my last year with the show."
Sweeney, who is also the host of The Biggest Loser, admitted that the decision to exit was not an easy one but the workload of both shows was getting to be difficult to manage.

"I have never had more than a two-week vacation in that whole time," said Sweeney, who started on the soap opera when she was just 16. "And I'm really just excited to be with my kids and be with my husband and I don't know, have fun. And I write. My second book's coming out. I love directing and just you know finding things to do."
