'SVU' Episode Based on Rihanna and Chris Brown?

Known for their "ripped from the headlines" themed episodes, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit appears to have set their sights on the tumultuous romance between Rihanna and Chris Brown.

"A familiar story of two celebrities, intertwined by abuse," the voiceover for the latest show promo states, which just so happened to air on Rihanna's birthday Wednesday night.

The preview goes on to show a picture of the female singer's battered and bruised face, which is undeniably similar to the 2009 leaked photo of Rihanna after the Chris Brown assault.

Though the show clearly passes judgment -- "What he did to you was despicable," Detective Olivia Benson says -- it looks like the real-life Rihanna is quite happy flaunting her relationship with Brown. She recently posted pictures of the two cuddling in Oahu, Hawaii on her Instagram account, where they celebrated her 25th birthday.

The Law & Order: SVU episode -- sure to drum up some controversy due to both stars' notoriously devoted fans -- is titled Funny Valentine, and airs next Wednesday at 9 p.m. on NBC.
