Jaleel White and Kym Johnson Set Record Straight

After Johnson admitted that it had been a stressful week for the pair, White put it all into perspective. "I think people have to realize [that] this is a competition. I had no idea how much the tabloids just besiege this show. It's never been a part of my life at all and hopefully we can just move past this week and people see that our connection is real."
Johnson echoed White's words, vouching that she and White have a good, friendly relationship. "I got a manicure with this girl this week. That's about all I need to say," White said as proof that he and his dancing partner are maintaining an amicable relationship.
'DWTS' Recap: A Night of Emotional Performances
The former Family Matters star also discussed why his dance on Monday night rendered him emotional. "I don't share these characters with anybody," the 35-year-old said. "You got to go deep to go to that place. [There were] a lot of distractions this week and to be able to pull that out—you just feel like you caught a winning touchdown."
