The Real-Life 'Bold and the Beautiful' Princess

Her Royal Highness Princess Theodora of Greece and Denmark is going by the name Theodora Greece these days, but soon she may be better known as Alison. That's her character's name on the CBS soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful.

This is the princess' first TV role and she's been dreaming about this opportunity for quite some time.

"I've been studying [acting] for a while," said Theodora, who revealed that she fell in love with the craft while still in high school. "I decided that's what I wanted to study in college, and then after college I went and took my masters at a drama school in London and then I decided to move [to Los Angeles]."

Contrary to the images of castles and tiaras that most people associate with the princess title, Theodora described her upbringing as "grounded", saying, "I don't think there was anything that stood out necessarily that was princess-ly in any sense."

Forbes magazine named Theodora as one of The 20 Hottest Young Royals, but she's yet to find the right man to put a ring on her finger.

"If and when I get married -- I would like to get married -- then I just want a wedding where my friends and family can come," said Theodora, suggesting that her nuptials would be more low-key than Will and Kate's extravagant "I dos". "It doesn't have to be a big spectacle."

Theodora made her soap opera debut on December 5. You can catch her on The Bold and the Beautiful weekdays on CBS.
