"I got so many positive tweets yesterday, I couldn't get through them all," Chaz revealed during a photo shoot with partner Lacey Schwimmer.
Encouragement from fans will be especially appreciated this season as there are no clear frontrunners for the competition.
"I had my first Dancing with the Stars breakdown," Chaz joked, acknowledging that at 42-years-old it can be painful to learn a new physical activity.
"Hopping hurts," said Chaz.
Also joining the season 13 cast is David Arquette who loves to dance for fun, but when it comes to the mirror ball trophy, he's all business.
"I'll do pretty much anything in the world for a mirror ball trophy," said David.
TV host and legal expert Nancy Grace will be showing a completely different side of herself, trading in her courtroom suits for glittery mini skirts. "I really do feel like Cinderella," said Nancy.
Perhaps the most athletic ballroom warrior, NBA champ Ron Artest, will be right at home in the highly competitive environment just as long as he can keep his size 16 feet from stepping on his pro partner Peta Murgatroyd.
"My feet are not connecting with my brain," Ron explained.
