Trailer for Mr. Rogers Documentary 'Won't You Be My Neighbor?' Pulls at All the Heartstrings

The new trailer for Won't You Be My Neighbor? started trending on Tuesday upon its release and it's sure to give you all the feels. 

The movie looks back at the man behind Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, Fred Rogers, and explores the life lessons, ethics and legacy that were taught by the iconic children's television host. 

In addition to the documentary, a biopic is also in the works about the life of Mr. Rogers, titled You Are My Friend, and ET confirmed in January that Tom Hanks is to play the TV personality. 

Mister Rogers' Neighborhood was a staple on public television for 31 seasons, from 1968 to 2001. Less than two years after the PBS show went off the air, Rogers died of stomach cancer. He was 74. 

Won’t You Be My Neighbor? -- helmed by Oscar-winning director Morgan Neville (20 Feet From Stardom) -- debuts in select theaters on June 8.
