Both singers performed at Super Bowl LII on Sunday, and they both apparently got the same fashion memo: tricked out camouflage!
Nothing says performing at the Super Bowl quite like camouflage!
Both Pink and Justin Timberlake took the stage at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Sunday, and though the two singers performed separately -- the "What About Us" singer sang the National Anthem ahead of the game, while J.T. was the halftime performer -- they seemed to have gotten the same fashion memo: wear camo.
Pink's look was slightly more subtle and was most likely a nod to her military family. Her father, Jim Moore, is a Vietnam vet, and her brother, Jason Moore, is a Lieutenant Colonel who was in attendance saluting his sister as she sang "The Star-Spangled Banner" ahead of Super Bowl LII.
While practicing this weekend -- and battling the flu! -- the die-hard Eagles fan even admitted how proud she was to be asked to sing the National Anthem. "I will tell you, this is one of the biggest honors of my life, singing this song in front of my family, my military family, my dad and brother and step mama and family and the world. And the EAGLES!?!?!" the Doylestown, Pennsylvania, native wrote on Instagram.
And make them proud she did. Not only did the 38-year-old singer sound incredible, she also looked incredible when she hit the field in a metallic ensemble. The outfit included a long white-and-gray camo button-down and wide-leg white pants by Rita Vineris topped by a silver Unravel tuxedo bomber jacket.
Pink finished off her look with white-gold diamond pavé starburst drop earrings by Sydney Evan and a neutral makeup palette.
Justin's ensemble, on the other hand, was most likely a high-fashion nod to both his Southern roots -- the *NSYNC alum is famously a native of Memphis, Tennessee -- and the album he just dropped, titled Man of the Woods. (We know, we know, J.T. -- it's named after your son, Silas. Still...)
The 37-year-old crooner not only literally wore the woods on his sleeves (well, and his entire shirt), he also rocked a Prince of Wales check-and-camouflage splatter print pants made from repurposed wool fabric when he took the stage at halftime. Though he started off in a fringed black leather jacket, while singing his hit, "Suit & Tie," he swapped into a fancier, single breasted suit jacket that matched his custom Stella McCartney bottoms. He accessorized with white sneakers and (what else?) a red bandana tied around his neck.
We don't actually think the singers were working with the same sartorial memo, seeing as they both had subtle but decidedly different takes on camo, but nonetheless, we're pretty impressed they both were dressed to blend in with the woods. In fact, according to some fans, Justin literally was one with nature...
To this camo club, we salute you.
