The 14-year-old conservationist shared a picture of himself from the hospital.
Get well soon, Robert Irwin!
The late Steve Irwin's 14-year-old son shared with his Instagram followers on Thursday that he underwent an emergency surgery to get his appendix removed.
"Kicking off the new year with emergency surgery. I’m recovering well and feeling so much better without my pesky appendix! ?," Irwin wrote alongside a picture of himself in a hospital bed, smiling and giving two thumbs up.
Meanwhile, his mother, Terri Irwin, shared the same photo on Twitter, adding, "The team at McKenzie-Willamette Hospital did a fantastic job removing Robert's pesky appendix on New Year's Day. #NationalThankYouDay."
His big sister, Bindi Irwin, also wrote some encouraging words for her little bro on Instagram.
"So proud of my amazing brother. On New Year's Day he got his appendix out with emergency surgery. Then, only a couple days later he was back playing monopoly with us. Now, we’re home @AustraliaZoo and he’s doing fantastic! Go Robert!!!" the Dancing With the Stars winner captioned a sweet pic of the two and her boyfriend, Chandler Powell.
The conservationist appears to be in much better spirits and is already scheduled to feed crocodiles at the Australia Zoo on Saturday with his family.
"So excited for all of the awesome school holiday fun @australiazoo ? Mum, @bindisueirwin and I will be feeding crocodiles in the Crocoseum starting tomorrow. Can’t wait to see you here!" he wrote on Instagram.
Robert is following in his father's footsteps, working with all types of animals and sharing his experiences on social media.
ET recently caught up with the Irwin family, where they helped ET's Cameron Mathison wrangle a crocodile.
