The Beatles drummer and Bee Gees singer are the latest to join the exclusive list.
Ringo Starr and Barry Gibb are the latest musicians to be knighted in Queen Elizabeth II's New Year's Honors.
The 77-year-old Beatles drummer and the 71-year-old Bee Gees singer received their knighthood for their service to music and charity, according to BBC.
Starr first received an honor from the queen back in 1965 when he and the Beatles received an MBE, per Royal Central. He is the second Beatle to be knighted. Paul McCartney received his nearly 20 years ago.
"It’s great! It’s an honor and a pleasure to be considered and acknowledged for my music and my charity work, both of which I love," Starr expressed.
Meanwhile, Gibb stated that he was "humbled and very proud" of his knighthood.
Actor Hugh Laurie is also receiving a CBE for his services to drama and former British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman also receives a CBE for her work in fashion journalism.
There are 1,123 people named on the main honors list issued by the Cabinet Office, with 70 percent of the recipients recognized for work in their communities in a voluntary or paid capacity, BBC states.
Earlier this week, the queen, along with Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry and his fiancee, Meghan Markle, stepped out for Christmas Day service. This was the first time the whole family was seen together since Prince Harry's engagement to the Suits star.
