The 'What About Us' singer reveals she sees herself as 'a 12-year-old boy.'
Pink is opening up about her "very label-less household."
In a new interview with The Sunday People, the "What About Us" singer gets candid about life at home with her husband, Carey Hart, and their two children, daughter Willow, 6, and Jameson, 11 months. She reveals that she's raising their kids as gender neutral.
"I was in a school and the bathroom outside the kindergarten said, 'Gender Neutral – anybody,' and it was a drawing of many different shapes," the 38-year-old singer recalls. "I took a picture of it and I wrote, 'Progress.' I thought that was awesome. I love that kids are having this conversation."
Pink continues on, telling the outlet she and Willow have already had plenty of their own conversations on gender neutrality. In fact, Pink says she sees herself as a pre-teen boy.
"I do bake sales and lemonade stands. I take my kid to school and try to get there on time," she says. "I'm a f**king grown up now, it's so weird. I'm still a 12-year-old boy."
But a "12-year-old boy" who has serious chats with Willow, who's already thinking ahead to her future.
"Last week, Willow told me she is going to marry an African woman," Pink explains. "I was like, 'Great, can you teach me how to make African food?' And she’s like, 'Sure, Mama. And we are going to live with you while our house is getting ready.'"
"I was like, 'What the f**k, who are you?'" she adds. "'Who is paying for this by the way?'"
There's been plenty of laughs in the Hart household, Pink says, including conversations about President Donald Trump. She says Willow has given the commander in chief a hilarious nickname: "Donald Duck Trumpet."
"I don't correct her. And I should, because it's disrespectful, but it’s like -- f**k it,'" she shares. "I feel like we are all in this permanent state of f**k it. I can't imagine being a third-grader and this being the first example of what it means to be president."
"I throw my hands up in the air every day," she continues. "It's unbelievable. It's not funny at all. It's un-f**king-believable. I want to skip ahead to the part that it's over and we start the clean-up process."
Willow has easily become one of the coolest kids in Hollywood, thanks in part to her rad parents. At the MTV Video Music Awards in August, for example, we couldn't keep our eyes off Willow, who was adorably dressed in a black-and-white suit that complemented Pink and Hart's sophisticated ensembles.
